Skulduggery Records grew from humble beginnings with a simple cassette tape Dictaphone, for recording band rehearsals and gigs, into an independent label specialising in “Live Sound” recording.
The early recordings where capturing something in the live performance that at times was unique and unrepeatable, a groove, a vibe, an energy that only existed in the live space, at that moment in time – “A record of something good”. But there was a problem - “How do you make it sound good?”. Through a mix of trial and error, various upgrades of equipment, developing and learning new techniques, blood sweat and tears, and a passion to create that certain sound, Skulduggery Records is able to unearth the hidden sound of a live performance and share it with the world.
Many of the recordings can be heard every Friday night from 9pm til late on “Live and Local” on Yarra Valley Fm 99.1 plus “Live On The Wireless” - live to air performance, interviews with from within the music industry and much, much, much, much more.
